North/Far North Regional Consortium

The North/Far North Regional Consortium is comprised of is comprised of 15 member colleges, geographically from Sacramento to the south, the Oregon border to the north, the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Nevada state line to the east.

Colleges:  American River College, Butte College, Cosumnes River College, Feather River College, Folsom Lake College, Lake Tahoe Community College, Lassen Community College, Mendocino College, College of the Redwoods, Sacramento City College, Shasta College, Sierra College, College of the Siskiyous, Woodland Community College, and Yuba College.

The governance structure and decision-making authority granted to the voting members of the NFNRC is under the purview of the regional community college presidents and district chancellors, and the structure and authority are outlined herein.  The governance structure was approved by the Voting Members at the regional consortium meeting on December 4, 2015 and will remain in effect until such time as the CEOs elect to change it.  There are two levels to the governance structure; Voting Members and Coordinating Council.       

Voting Members:

The CEOs will appoint a voting member representatives from their college.  The CEOs may also designate an alternative to serve in the absence of the regular appointee.

Coordinating Council:

The Coordinating Council of the North Far North Regional Consortium includes representatives from the North and Far North Regional Colleges.   The representatives include two CEOs (1 from the North, and 1 from the Far North), two CIO’s (1 from the North and 1 from the Far North), the Co-Chairs, and a Key Talent Representative.
